What is Self-Confidence?
“Although self-confidence can mean different things to different people, in reality, it simply means having faith in yourself. Confidence is not something that can be learned like a set of rules, confidence is a state of mind. Confidence comes from feelings of well-being, acceptance of your body and mind (your self-esteem), and belief in your own ability, skills, and experience”.
Inner confidence is a gift that plays out in so many ways. And best of all? It’s something you control.
I suppose you lose your self-confidence along the way. During those darker periods, our confidence tends to hit rock bottom. We hesitate and doubt ourselves. We forget who we are and what we’re supposed to be doing, and every single aspect of our life and business is affected.
Here is the thing: most women struggle with their body image. Not with all the same complaints (too small, too big, too long, too short, cellulite, the shape of the nose, etc) but the list is endless. Recognize that “we all come in different shapes and sizes”.
Confidence is silent. Insecurities are loud.
The bottom line is, every woman is their own worst critic & picks on something about themselves regardless of how beautiful they are.
The most beautiful thing you can wear is confidence.
When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.

By affirming positive words over yourself, will automatically boost your self-confidence. The words you speak over yourself can be the most powerful thing, it can change how you see yourself and what you believe about yourself.
You are AMAZING. You are unique. You are worthy. You are needed. And keeping all of that hidden away is a disservice to yourself and the people around you.

2. Finding your Identity in Christ
By knowing who you are in Christ, will release you from all your insecurities and insecure days. You are built for Him. You are capable of so much. By finding your worth, you will experience the power of who you are made to be and you will reach more than you could ever imagine.
To find contentment and be content with who you are, will automatically reflect on your self-image. Contentment can set you free from all your disappointments. If you are content with yourself, you will not need to compare yourself with others or react to people’s opinions about you. You need to be thankful for what you have and who God made you.

The life you live on earth is to glorify God by submitting to Him. His spirit lives in you and your confidence lies in knowing who you are in Christ.
Galatians 2:20 - I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.

4. Take care of your body
By exercising regularly and eating a well-balanced diet, will help you feel better. It will increase your energy levels, you will get rid of unnecessary stress and you will feel positive. Find a fitness routine that works for you. Even if it’s only taking a walk after work for a few minutes, you will feel even more motivated, energized and your mind will be happy as well. Any exercise is better than none.

Journalling Guidelines: - What made you happy today? - Write down your strengths - 5 things to be thankful for - Have you complimented yourself today? (No? Do it now!) - What is the best compliment you’ve ever gotten? How did it make you feel? - When do you feel the most confident and capable?
Start journaling — there are no rules and you can’t possibly mess it up! You will be able to express your emotions/feelings and you will reflect on what actually matters. You will work and build on your confidence each day.

6. Spoil yourself
Changing your hairstyle, adding some color to your nails/toes, booking a facial, or even a makeup consultation, will help you boost your self-confidence. By taking care of yourself, will help you feel beautiful by simply spoiling yourself every now and then. The bottom line is improving self-esteem requires a bit of work. The key is to look over the long term, rather than day-to-day, and focus on the bigger picture, not the detail of how you felt at a particular moment yesterday. When you feel good, or you do something good, celebrate it—but don’t beat yourself up if you occasionally slip back into negative patterns of thinking. Just pick yourself up again and try to think more positively.
Don’t let other people dim your light!
Stop your negative thinking about yourself and start being thankful for everything you have. You have something extraordinary that needs to be shared with the world. The next time you walk out of the house, believe in yourself, believe in who you are, and that you have enough to make a difference.
